CohnReznick, a New York City-based accounting firm that has two offices in New Jersey, has added two managing directors to its growing International Tax practice, according to a Friday announcement.
Nick Carofano will serve as the firm’s Transfer Pricing Services practice leader. Jie Shao will provide international tax strategy and compliance services to the firm’s publicly and privately held multinational clients.
“In our increasingly interconnected business world, it is more important than ever to deepen our skills in taxation strategies and compliance services for global entities,” Patrick Duffany, managing partner of CohnReznick’s Tax practice, stated. “Nick’s wide-ranging skills as a transfer pricing adviser can help our international tax clients achieve market growth and tax savings, lower effective tax rates and develop critical supporting financial arrangements. Jie will broaden the capabilities we can offer our international tax clients on many different strategic and technical fronts including tax structuring for cross-border transactions.
“I am delighted that Nick and Jie have chosen to join CohnReznick in leadership roles on our International Tax team.”
Carofano, based in New York, has more than 15 years of experience advising multinational enterprises on the design, development and implementation of high-impact transfer pricing strategies aligned with business models.
Shao, based in Texas, has nearly 20 years of experience in U.S. international tax strategy and reporting as well as U.S. corporate income tax accounting, compliance and consulting.
