Coworking space Mission 50 announced it will host a free “Get to Know the Hoboken Community Center” event from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesday, to build community awareness about the Hoboken nonprofit that helps many in need.
Those interested in learning more about the local organization, volunteering or donating are invited to enjoy complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres at the event in the Saloon on the second floor of the Mission 50 boutique office building, at 50 Harrison St. in Hoboken.
HCC staff will be on hand to discuss the organization’s three-pronged mission:
- Its pantry program;
- Its affordable housing program;
- The renovation of its vacant former recreation space at 1301 Washington St. into new community-focused spaces.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win five days of free coworking at Mission 50.
Bike parking is free and car parking is available for a small fee (use the pay station at the building’s entrance). Space is limited; all guests are asked to RSVP in advance. Click here to RSVP.
The event is part of the monthly “Mission: Community” series hosted by Mission 50 and planned in partnership with Hoboken-based Main Street Pops.
“The HCC has provided essential services and affordable housing to support the well-being of Hoboken residents since 1927,” Gregory Dell’Aquila, CEO of JDA Group LLC, which owns and manages Mission 50, said. “It’s critical to educate others about this vital resource and that’s in line with our mission to foster a community-centric environment for our members and provide a gathering place for local organizations and businesses.”
The Mission 50 building has multiple workspace environments, including shared coworking spaces, privacy pods, private office suites and fully customizable office concepts. Upscale amenities, state-of-the-art technology and a menu of membership options cater to professionals ranging from solo workers and growing startups to seasoned businesses and traditional enterprises.
