When Summit Health cut the ribbon on its new 100,000-square-foot multispecialty health care hub in Clifton, it begged one question: Shouldn’t there have been more than one ribbon?
The hub, located at 1255 Broad St., near Route 3 and the Garden State Parkway. seemingly has something for every medical issue.
The state-of-the-art facility features 18 colocated specialties, including primary care, family medicine, dermatology, orthopedics, urology, breast care, imaging, lab and comprehensive cancer care services, including infusion and radiation oncology.
In addition, a CityMD urgent care is colocated on site to provide convenient walk-in care by one connected care team.
Summit Health CEO Jeff Alter said the hub represents the future of medicine.
“Building on our strong roots in Clifton, and throughout northern New Jersey, Summit Health’s new Clifton hub represents our ongoing patient-centered mission to provide high-quality, accessible care in the local community,” he said. “Whether our patients need care in the moment or over a lifetime, we’re here to provide a uniquely connected approach to delivering urgent, primary and specialty care.”
With more than 35 primary care and specialty physicians, Summit Health’s Clifton hub brings many comprehensive services together at one location. Among the many services and highlights, the Clifton hub offers a multidisciplinary cancer care program and a full range of cancer services — medical oncology, infusion, surgical oncology specialties, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, imaging, oncology lab and an infusion pharmacy all under one roof, Alter said.
Additionally, the Clifton hub offers patients a variety of sophisticated imaging services in a comprehensive setting for primary, specialty and urgent care. The latest technology will lead to shorter exam times and better quality through conventional and advanced imaging. This includes MRI, PET/CT scans (including prostate cancer exams), nuclear imaging, general and vascular ultrasound, screening and diagnostic 3D mammography, stereotactic and ultrasound biopsy, X-ray and fluoroscopy, and bone density testing.
Summit officials say the hub’s architecture and design, which was handled by Gensler, is stylish and modern. It has spacious waiting areas and 118 exam rooms intended for comfort and efficiency.
