Woodmont Industrial Partners announced Thursday the start of construction at 51 New Brunswick Ave. in Woodbridge — a property that will feature 54,113 square feet of industrial space and is expected to reach completion in the second quarter of 2023.
Located on the border of Fords and Hopelawn, the property will feature 32-foot-clear height ceilings, ample parking, seven dock doors with optional expansion to nine, build-to-suit office space and easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, Route 9 and Route 440. Woodmont acquired the site in April 2022.
Woodmont Vice President Anthony Amadeo thinks the project will have plenty of interest.
“Woodbridge presents an incredible opportunity for companies looking to establish a regional hub, headquarters or last-mile delivery center, as it offers access to an exceptional labor force and several main thoroughfares,” he said. “Today’s groundbreaking marks an exciting milestone for all stakeholders in Woodbridge as the industrial real estate market in prime locations is in high demand. We look forward to starting construction on our newest locations in New Jersey and beyond.”
Over the past year, Woodmont has executed several key acquisitions in the most active industrial growth markets in the country, adding approximately 6 million square feet to its portfolio.
Most recently, the team celebrated the groundbreaking of a 152,100-square-foot Class A warehouse in South Amboy, the construction and leasing of a 212,000-square-foot newly constructed Class A warehouse building in Jupiter, Florida, and will begin the redevelopment and construction on 209,000 square feet in South Brunswick this fall.
The team remains incredibly active in the Northeast, Southeast and Southwest regions of the U.S., with over 10 million square feet in its active pipeline for development and/or renovation.
