Valley names Juarbe-Ramos chair of primary and urgent care service, medical director of quality

Dr. Ivannette Juarbe-Ramos has been named chair of primary and urgent care services and medical director of quality for Valley Medical Group.

Juarbe-Ramos, board certified in family medicine, said she loves that, as a family medicine physician, she can establish a long-standing relationship with patients.

“Building a real rapport with patients gives me the opportunity to have both a positive effect on the quality of life and overall health span of my patients,” she said.

Dr. Robert Brenner, president of clinical integration and physician enterprise for Valley Health System, applauded the announcement.

“Her leadership experience will be vital to the operations of our primary and urgent care services,” he said.

Prior to Valley, Juarbe-Ramos served as the regional medical director and quality medical director for adult medicine at Sun River Health in New York. She is also a board member of the American Heart Association’s chapter in Westchester, New York.

Juarbe-Ramos received her medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico. She completed a residency in family and community medicine from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and a traditional residency program at Hospital Damas in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
