Santos served as the EDA’s chief of staff for three years before the agency recognized the growing demand of real estate development and major projects in the state and created a specific real estate division for him to lead. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president for economic development at the Newark Alliance, and previously served as the vice president for planning and policy at the Newark Community Economic Development Corp.
