Bound Brook-based Simonik Moving & Storage bought by Florida firm

Simonik Moving & Storage Inc., an agent of Allied Van Lines, Bound Brook was recently purchased by First Class Moving Systems of Tampa, Florida, according to a Monday announcement.

Located at 5 Easy Street, the newly formed company will be known as World Class Moving Systems will service local, national, and global NY/NJ metro area customers needing warehousing, commercial moving, final mile, white glove, distribution, office furniture, hospitality, retail and medical furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) installation as well as heavy machinery moving and rigging services.

For nearly 50 years, Simonik Moving & Storage has served consumer, corporate, government, and commercial moving customers in New York and New Jersey with moving, storage, and logistics.

Chris Hunt, co-owner of World Class, said, “Our offerings will be expanded. The Simonik team will stay intact with all employees accepting offers to stay. World Class has ambitious plans to make a big splash into the Allied Van Lines system. This is a very important market to several of our customers which drove the pursuit of expanding the First Class footprint into the Northeast.”

Will Fallon, co-owner of World Class which will also operate as First Class Commercial Services, First Class Interior Solutions, and First Class Global Logistics in New Jersey and serve its local customers, and those part of the SIRVA and OMA networks, said, “We are enthusiastic about the addition of a New Jersey facility which will enhance our capabilities for our customers in many ways.”
