Kepner-Tregoe announces new Innovation Department; names director

Princeton-based training and consulting services firm Kepner-Tregoe on Tuesday announced it created a new department focused on innovation. The Princeton-based firm said the new department will provide KT with a focused ability to channel the development of new products and services to help global clients unlock greater value through enhanced critical thinking processes.

The department consolidates successful innovative initiatives developed throughout the firm’s worldwide operations, and places those efforts under the responsibility of the newest executive team member, Carl Ackermann, who was named as its director.

“I look forward to this new challenge,” Ackermann said. “Working with our partners, clients and colleagues, we are creating an innovation laboratory that will design, develop, test and prove inventive concepts that benefit our clients around the world.”

A native of South Africa, Ackermann came to KT from NTT Ltd., a global technology company, where he headed improvement services.

“Carl has been a vital part of KT for nearly two years. He is an outstanding, industry-recognized technology master responsible for delivering capability development and consulting in our service excellence area,” Bill Baldwin, CEO of KT, stated.
