Izzo named honorary lifetime member of N.J. Chamber board of directors

Ralph Izzo, the former CEO and soon-to-be-retiring chairman of Public Service Enterprise Group, has been named an honorary lifetime member of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce board of directors, the chamber announced this week.

Izzo, a former chair of the state chamber’s board, is just the 14th person to achieve the status of honorary lifetime member.

Chamber CEO Tom Bracken said Izzo is deserving of the honor.

“Ralph served on our board with great distinction, is extremely supportive of our work as an organization and was one of the premier CEOs during my time in New Jersey,” he said. “He has done it with credibility, commitment and the utmost humility.”

Izzo, a prominent and well-respected executive in New Jersey, also served as chairman of the Rutgers University board of governors and was recently inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame.
