GenPsych, a mental health and substance abuse treatment provider with locations in New Jersey, Maryland and Florida, is taking 10,043 square feet of medical office space at 1030 St. Georges Ave. in Avenel, NAI James E. Hanson said.
GenPysch will occupy the building’s penthouse level as well as space on the third floor to provide the tenant with the flexibility to treat adult patients and minor patients in separate spaces at the same location, the company said.
Located on the border of Avenel and Rahway, 1030 St. Georges Ave. is a four-story, 70,000-square-foot office building featuring both office and medical office space and ample on-site parking. In addition to its access to nearly 355,000 residents within five miles, the property also has proximity to major New Jersey roadways, including Route 1/9 and the Turnpike.
Darren Lizzack and Randy Horning represented the landlord, Avenel Medical Center, in the transaction with the tenant. They have served as the exclusive brokerage team for the property since May 2021.
