Angry Archie’s, a family-run food truck business in Hudson County featuring crab cakes and other seafood items, recently opened its first brick-and-mortar store at 565 Palisade Ave. in Jersey City.
Angry Archie’s, which was founded in 2015 by Chef Chris Curado and his cousin, Michael Ponte (with an assist from Curado’s mother, Carmela Sebastiano), calls its crab cakes its signature dish.
Angry Archie’s combines jumbo lump crab meat, crispy potatoes, spicy aioli and citrus crema and stacks them on a toasted potato bun. The menu also features lobster rolls, crab poutine and a chicken sandwich.
Angry Archie’s has been a favorite on the food truck circuit.
In 2016, it won Best Food at the Food Truck Mashup at the Meadowlands. In 2017, it took home Best Food Truck at the East Hanover Food Truck Festival, solidifying Angry Archie’s as a top up-and-coming food truck in the state.
In 2018, Angry Archie’s added a pop-up lunch location at 200 Harborside in Jersey City.
