Ani Ramen House, the fast-growing Ramen restaurant concept that began in Montclair in 2014, opened its seventh N.J. location last week, on Nassau Street in Princeton.
Ani Ramen’s N.J. locations
Ani Ramen has seven locations in New Jersey:
- Montclair (2014);
- Jersey City (2017);
- Jersey City Harborside (2019);
- Summit (2019);
- Maplewood (2019);
- Cranford (2020);
- Princeton (2023).
The chain has two restaurants in New York.
The Princeton location will serve the chain’s signature craft ramen featuring custom-made noodles from Sun Noodle, tempting, flavorful proteins and a variety of extras. The menu also offers delicious appetizers for sharing: bao buns, kurobuta sausage, chili charred edamame and chicken karaage.
But it also will include two added features:
- Weekend brunch: Starting at 11 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays, the brunch will feature a Jersey Breakfast Bao (with Taylor ham), Funfetti Matcha Pancakes and a Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich with Nori Crisp.
- A Mochinut walk-up kiosk: Originated in Hawaii, Mochinut is the union between Japanese rice cake (mochi) and American-style doughnuts, distinguished by a unique shape of eight dough balls and a rainbow of flavored glazes. The texture is soft and chewy with a light crispy coating. Flavors range from Asian ingredients like Yuzu and Black Sesame, to Cookies & Cream, Peanut Butter or Red Velvet.
The restaurant, which opens at 4 p.m. during the week, is BYOB. The dining room can accommodate up to 65.
Founder and Executive Chairman Luck Sarabhayavanija of Montclair Hospitality Group said he is eager to become part of the Princeton community.
“It has always been our goal to bring Ani Ramen to Princeton, and we’re especially excited to celebrate our ninth opening here,” he said. “We look forward to being an active, involved member of the community, as we have done at all of our locations.”
