New Jersey Lottery extends title sponsorship of Festival of Ballooning

As 2023 marks the 40th anniversary of the New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, the New Jersey Lottery said it renewed its title sponsorship of the largest summertime hot air balloon and music festival in North America.

The three-day New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning returns to Solberg Airport in Readington from July 28-30.

The high-flying and high-profile event takes place over the skies of Central Jersey. The air gets filled with the awe-inspiring spectacle of up to 100 gigantic, colorful hot air balloons, along with headlining concerts by Grammy Award-winning artists, attractions, fireworks and food, all in one place.

The Lottery’s multiyear sponsorship extension was announced by the Festival Group, which produces the annual event that has been named one of the Top 50 Festivals in America and the premier family entertainment attraction in the state by the USA Today Network.

“We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with the New Jersey Lottery, which has brought a great new fan experience to the generations of families who have been enjoying the magic of ballooning for many years and who will be celebrating our 40th anniversary with us this summer,” Festival Group Executive Producer Howard Freeman said.

“The Lottery has been our partner at different levels for more than 20 years and, as they continue in their fourth year as our title sponsor, we can continue to create unforgettable experiences that will last a lifetime. We’re proud that our attendees, many of whom are now parents and grandparents, can share their experiences with their children and grandchildren. From favorite special shaped hot air balloons to new entertainment features, this is going to be the celebration of the summer,” Freeman said.

Part of that celebration will be sky high: 3,500 people will take a hot air balloon ride or tethered balloon ride at the festival, marking their own celebrations, adventures and bucket list items.

The festival provides unique opportunities to introduce consumers to new entertainment experiences, new products and services.

The New Jersey Lottery “Lottery Land” is a newer addition to the festival and is a great example of new experiences festivalgoers can enjoy. The relaxing, multilevel, members-only VIP Club lounge provides comfortable seating and spectacular rooftop views of the festival grounds and the twice-a-day mass hot air balloon ascensions. Its CASH POP! Summer Concert Stage serves as a second performance venue featuring eight great tribute bands, making Lottery Land a must-see attraction and meet-up destination.

The upcoming 40th anniversary also promises new premium VIP experiences for 165,000 attendees and new opportunities for sponsors and influencers alike to reach consumers in the No. 1 media market in the country.
