Avison Young on Tuesday said it arranged two new lease transactions for RWJBarnabas Health: 26,377 square feet at 630 Central Ave. in New Providence and flex space at 315 Northfield Ave. in Livingston. The former will serve as a training location for the health care provider’s northern New Jersey staff and the latter, representing Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, will support the health care system’s expanding presence throughout the region.
The tenant, RWJBH, was represented by Roshan Shah, principal, and Steven Geltzeiler, senior vice president, as well as Todd Ohlandt, principal, based in the firm’s Atlanta office. The landlord at 630 Central Ave., 2100 New Providence LLC, was represented by Dan Reider of Newmark.
“As the single largest health care provider in New Jersey and among the biggest health systems in the nation, we are incredibly fortunate to have these opportunities to partner with RWJBarnabas Health on evaluating and implementing the organization’s corporate real estate strategy across their vast portfolio,” Shah said.
The Avison Young team, in conjunction with the firm’s consulting practice, are also working on a comprehensive consulting assignment for RWJBH as the health care system explores creating greater efficiencies among their larger facilities throughout the region.
