Kearny Bank appoints West Orange resident AVP/retail relationship manager

You can’t say West Orange resident Shawn Morton has a long commute. After all, his new role as a Kearny Bank assistant vice president and retail relationship manager is based at the branch located in the same town where he lives.

Morton’s primary responsibilities include oversight of sales, development and branch operations. In addition, he provides financial products to clients across both personal banking and business banking segments and establishes new client relationships.

With more than 25 years of professional experience in community banking, Morton most recently was retail client experience manager at Kearny Bank’s West Orange location. Prior to that, he held the same title at the Kearny Bank branch in Basking Ridge. His career has also included a role as assistant vice president of member services for Municipal Credit Union.

“I’m sure our West Orange clients will enjoy interacting with Shawn,” Heather Moskal, Kearny Bank’s senior vice president and retail banking leader, said. “He has a lot of experience in managing branch operations. And his level of comfort with utilizing new technology is an additional benefit.”
