The Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Foundation made a $1 million pledge to further support expansion, services and programs at the medical center.
Lou Weiss, chair of the foundation, presented the ceremonial check for the $1 million pledge to Bergen New Bridge CEO and President Deb Visconi.
“The support from our foundation is vital to us as we continue to innovate, grow and expand to best serve the needs of our diverse communities,” Visconi said. “I am honored to work with our foundation and thankful for their support. Together, we will address health care disparities, continue to increase access to care, create programs such as our Center for Positivity and Eating Disorders, LGBTQ+ Wellness Center, Hope and Resiliency Center for Youth and provide state of the art digital mammography and MRI technology while reaching directly into our communities with our satellite locations and our New CareRite Now locations in select Bergen County Inserra Supermarkets.”
“Today is an important day that has been many years in the making,” Weiss said. “As the fundraising arm of the medical center, the foundation is stepping up and launching this year with our biggest commitment ever. I am proud that we can make this pledge to support the continued growth, expansion and vital work of the medical center.”
“Bergen New Bridge has become a center for health activism, doing so much for so many, both at the medical center and directly into our communities,” Bergen County Commissioner Mary Amoroso said. “We are grateful to the Bergen New Bridge Foundation for this $1 million pledge, which will help the medical center continue caring for our neighbors.”
