Grocery Outlet Bargain Market opens in Hazlet

Grocery Outlet Bargain Market recently opened its third New Jersey bargain-type store on Route 35 in Hazlet. (It also has stores in Hamilton Township and Delran.)

The West Coast-based grocery outlet is the country’s largest retailer of closeout merchandise and excess inventory, according to the company’s website. It currently has 467 stores in 29 states.

The store offers thousands of bargains all under one roof for up to 70% off name-brand merchandise — which runs the gamut from housewares to sporting goods to flooring and food, the website said.

According to Winsight Grocery News, the discounter will be run by independent operators Kent and Tracy Encarnacion.

Grocery Outlet stores are owned by independent operators based in the communities they serve.

The new store will employ 25 people.
