Fox Rothschild announces new firm leadership

Morristown-based Fox Rothschild LLP will implement several changes in its senior firm management team, effective April 1, according to a Monday announcement.

  • Todd A. Rodriguez has been elected as firmwide managing partner;
  • Mark L. Morris, who has served as firmwide managing poartner since 2017, will transition to chair of the firm;
  • Mark L. Silow will shift from his role as chair of the firm to chair emeritus.

“We congratulate Todd on his elevation to firmwide managing partner and look forward to his leadership,” Morris and Silow said. “We know that he will not only steer the firm forward in its unwavering commitment and dedication to our clients, but will also cultivate and expand our firm culture of collegiality, civility and collaboration throughout our national network of offices.”

Rodriguez has served as co-chair of the firm’s nationwide Health Care Department since 2008 and previously served as the Exton, Pennsylvania, office managing partner. In his legal practice, he has more than two decades of experience representing health care providers, including physicians, medical group practices, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic testing facilities and other health care practitioners such as dentists, chiropractors and veterinarians.

Named to Al Dia’s Top Latino Lawyers list, Rodriguez earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law and his B.A. from Hampden-Sydney College.

During Morris’ six-year tenure as firmwide managing partner, he led the firm through numerous high-profile lateral acquisitions and office openings. He also provided steadfast leadership as the firm navigated the many challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among his many contributions to the growth of the firm, Morris expanded the C-suite with the creation of a new firm role, chief diversity and inclusion officer, which Kimberly Bullock Gatling, a partner in the firm’s Greensboro, North Carolina, office, assumed in 2020.

Morris will remain active in firm management and become chair of the firm’s Executive Committee, the firm’s governing body.

“It has been such an honor and privilege to lead the firm over these past six years. I am grateful for the confidence and trust that was bestowed upon me from the Executive Committee, the lawyers and the staff, especially as we navigated some truly unprecedented challenges over the last three years,” Morris commented. “I look forward to shifting my focus as chair of the firm, and I pass the leadership baton to Todd, knowing that Fox Rothschild will benefit greatly from his commitment, charisma and innovative outlook on the future of the legal profession.”

Silow has served in positions of firm leadership for the past 18 years, serving as firmwide managing partner for 12 years commencing in 2005 and as chair of the firm since 2017. During his tenure in these positions, the firm has grown from a regional firm of 200 lawyers in seven offices to a national firm of 1,000 lawyers in 29 offices.

Silow will remain at the firm to assist Rodriguez and Morris in the transition to their new roles.
