Penn, multifamily exec, elected to serve as Apartment Association president

The New Jersey Apartment Association recently said Diana Penn was elected to serve as board president for the 2023-2025 term.

Penn is the second woman in NJAA history to lead the organization.

Penn, a resident of Lawrence Township, is the senior vice president of multifamily operations at Asset Living. Based in Houston, Asset Living is one of the largest property management providers in the U.S. The real estate management firm has a growing portfolio that includes a multitude of properties across the nation.

In her term as president, Penn will be focusing on expanding NJAA’s educational offerings, increasing member participation and growing overall membership.

In response to Penn’s election as president, NJAA Executive Director David Brogan said: “We’re thrilled to see Diana step into the role as president. Her leadership skills, combined with her wealth of knowledge will be a huge asset for our organization. It’s a pivotal year for us as our events and programming return full-swing post-COVID. Thanks to Diana’s professionalism and decades of experience, we know the NJAA will continue to grow and thrive.”

The association plays such an important role in educating our members, providing fantastic events for networking, and continuing to provide advocacy at a time when the industry’s voice must be heard. My goal is to not only continue those member benefits, but also enhance every aspect of the organization. I am honored to take on this new and challenging role,” Penn said.

Penn’s term began Jan. 31 and will continue through mid-January 2025.
