NAI Hanson facilitates lease to relocate competitive cheerleading program back to East Rutherford

NAI James E. Hanson on Tuesday said it negotiated a lease for 9,178 square feet of industrial space in East Rutherford with Meadowlands Starz Cheer, which was looking to relocate.

NAI James E. Hanson’s Andrew Somple and Jessica Curry represented both Meadowlands Starz Cheer and the landlord, Kelways Associates, in the transaction.

A “Performance Elite Rec Cheer” team operated by coach Michele Cusimano-Stirone, Meadowlands Starz Cheer said it is focused on empowering young athletes and motivating them to reach their goals. The organization had operated out of East Rutherford prior to moving to Clifton.

Meadowlands Starz Cheer still had its ties to the East Rutherford community, and its membership with the Meadowlands Chamber inspired the organization to relocate its training facility back into East Rutherford.

NAI James E. Hanson was tapped to identify a space in the competitive Meadowlands industrial market and recognized the asset within 1 Madison St., a 65,000-square-foot industrial building and exclusive listing of the firm, was the perfect fit for Meadowlands Starz Cheer.

“Considering their reputation as an elite regional cheer program, Meadowlands Starz Cheer needed a space that was both easily accessible and adaptable to their specific needs,” Somple said. “This new space aligns perfectly with their plans and puts them in a position to continue building their impressive program. We’re proud to have provided the real estate services needed to make it a reality and bring them back to East Rutherford.”
