PGIM Quantitative Solutions adds exec in newly created role as head of strategic relationships

PGIM Quantitative Solutions, the quantitative, multiasset and liquid alternatives specialist of Newark-based PGIM, appointed Andy Wilmot as head of strategic relationships, according to a Wednesday announcement.

Wilmot will report to Brian Carroll, head of global distribution at PGIM Quant.

In this newly created role, Wilmot will spearhead the firm’s relationship with its strategic partners and help identify new commercial opportunities across the firm’s product suite. As part of his mandate to broaden the firm’s market positioning, Wilmot will be tasked with capitalizing on PGIM Quant’s annuities expertise and expanding its insurance and subadvisory businesses — both key growth areas for the firm.

“At PGIM Quant, we pride ourselves on our agility and ability to solve beyond alpha for our clients in a way that also recognizes new growth areas for the firm,” Carroll said. “We’re thrilled to have Andy on board to help build upon the marketplace awareness of our capability set.”

Wilmot brings decades of financial services experience and a successful record of accomplishments in asset management distribution strategy, leadership and sales across intermediary, institutional and retirement channels. Most recently, Wilmot served as head of U.S. Subadvisory and managing director at Allianz Global Investors. Prior to that, Wilmot held several senior leadership positions at Neuberger Berman and Merrill Lynch.
