NAIOP N.J. annual gala will celebrate 2023 Commercial Real Estate Awards honorees

It’s a star-studded lineup of commercial real estate honorees.

Annually, the New Jersey Chapter of NAIOP, the commercial real estate development association, honors those in the real estate community that have impacted the sector in various ways.

The 2023 honorees have been announced, and will be celebrated at the 36th Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards Gala, which will be held May 18 at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset.

Awards include:

  • The Charles Klatskin Lifetime Achievement Award, which will be presented to Cushman & Wakefield’s Robert Donnelly Sr. The award honors an individual who has had a distinguished record in service to the industry and the community.
  • The Impact Award, which will be presented to Christopher Paladino, New Brunswick Development Corp., and George Jacobs, Jacobs Enterprises Inc. This award recognizes firms and/or individuals that have had a significant impact on New Jersey’s commercial and industrial real estate development industry.
  • The Industry Service Award, which will be presented to Meryl A.G. Gonchar, Sills Cummis & Gross P.C., in recognition of her considerable contributions in support of the industry’s goals.
  • The Caren S. Franzini Public Partner Award, which will be given to New Jersey’s lieutenant governor, Sheila Y. Oliver. The award honors champions of economic development that inspire and transform communities.

In addition to celebrating the achievements of leading commercial real estate professionals and organizations, NAIOP New Jersey’s gala will recognize the state’s most impactful real estate transactions. Award categories have traditionally included: Industrial Deal of the Year, Office Deal of the Year and Mixed-Use Deal of the Year.
