Prager Metis announces 2023 promotions

Three named partners of the firm

Prager Metis, a leading accounting and advisory firm with offices in North America, including a heavy presence in New Jersey, as well as Europe, Asia and the Metaverse, on Monday announced this year’s promotions — all of which became effective Jan. 1.

Wayne Eager, William McCallum and Andrew Sgro were elevated to partner.

Eager provides businesses and high net worth individuals with tax planning, preparation and advisory services. He works extensively with self-employed business owners and startup companies, assisting with entity selection and other tax considerations for new businesses. Eager also has extensive experience with real estate and construction, offering an in-depth understanding of commercial and residential development, construction and sales.

McCallum specializes in providing tax services to financial service organizations, investment partnerships and closely held businesses. He also provides tax services to high net worth individuals. McCallum takes pride in always being accessible to his clients.

Sgro, who serves as partner-in-charge of Prager Metis’ Co-op and Condominium Services Department, specializes in certified audits and reviews of financial statements for CIRAs, nonpublic companies, and not-for-profit organizations.

As partners, Eager, McCallum, and Sgro will continue to participate in the growth and success of the firm, building on their individual strengths and expertise to delivery exceptional value to clients.

Meanwhile the firm also announced that, Kayo Elkner and Rina Veygman were elevated to principal, also effective Jan. 1.

Kayo specializes in providing accounting and tax services to individuals and closely held businesses. She has prepared individual, corporate, S corporations, and partnerships income tax returns for clients in the US and internationally, including Japanese clients headquartered in Hawaii and California. Kayo is fluent in Japanese and is a member of Prager Metis’ Japan group.

Rina has expertise in federal, state, local, and international tax services. Her experience includes matters involving multi-state and multi-tiered partnerships, multi-state C and S corporations, international compliance, income-state nexus determination and state and local tax research, as well as private equity and investment partnerships. Rina prides herself in establishing personal relationships with each client, recognizing their uniqueness, and serving their particular needs.
