Sanofi will transfer all 1,900 of its employees at its location in Bridgewater to Morristown, according to a media report that was confirmed by ROI-NJ.
The move, first reported by MyCentralJersey.com, will take place in two phases — one that will take place in the fourth quarter of 2024; and one that will take place in the first quarter of 2025 — according to a statement obtained by the outlet.
Sanofi will be the primary tenant of the second M Station building, a state-of-the-art site by SJP Properties in partnership with Scotto Properties that helps connect Morristown’s busy train station to the ultra-busy Morristown Green.
A move of some sort by Sanofi was expected by many after the campus Sanofi used in Bridgewater — the three-office, 675,000-square-foot complex at 55 Corporate Drive — was sold by the landlord in January 2022.
According to the report on MyCentralJersey.com, Sanofi officials said the move will help improve company efficiency while affirming the company’s commitment to New Jersey.
“The relocation of Sanofi’s flagship location within New Jersey gives us the opportunity to provide our people with more collaborative and digitally connected workspaces,” a Sanofi spokesperson told the site. “This exciting move will allow us to improve our engagement, innovation and patient-centered solutions, while incorporating our flexible work environment.”
Sanofi has been in Bridgewater for more than two decades.
