ShopRite, Fresh Grocer to host job fair Saturday

Job searchers can walk into any Keasbey-based Wakefern Food Corp. banner store on Saturday for on-the-spot interviews for several open and available positions.

ShopRite, together with Fresh Grocer, have scheduled a companywide walk-up job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at store locations throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland. Interested candidates can visit most participating ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace, the Fresh Grocer or Fairway Market stores to speak with a hiring representative for an immediate interview. Full-time, part-time and management positions are available, depending on location.

Available positions, including general, perishable, front end and stocking clerks, feature flexible hours and a wide variety of cross-training to provide employees with the knowledge, skills and tools to work as a team throughout the store. Training programs include a game-based training app and are designed to provide a solid foundation so each individual can achieve their best and pursue career goals. Each job offers opportunities for career growth and plays an integral part in the operation of the entire Wakefern cooperative and its retail banners and stores.

The supermarkets also offer associates entertainment and tuition discounts, as well as scholarship opportunities, and associates can work for family-owned businesses that are part of the retailer-owned supermarket cooperative Wakefern Food Corp. Wakefern, the nation’s largest retailer-owned cooperative, has a 76-year history of commitment to communities and the family-owned businesses that are part of the cooperative.

Interested candidates can find out or more about the job fair and career opportunities by checking with their local stores or online — click here — as well as the websites for Price Rite Marketplace, the Fresh Grocer, Gourmet Garage and Fairway Market.
