Barnes & Noble found a new location for its Paramus bookstore. The bookseller is to move just down the road to 634 Route 17 in Paramus, according to a Thursday announcement, into the space currently occupied by Big Lots.
It is expected to open its doors in late fall.
“We couldn’t be happier to announce our relocation — we know our Paramus customers were dismayed to hear about our impending closure, which makes it that much more exciting to have found a new home so close by,” Amy Fitzgerald, vice president of stores, Barnes & Noble, said. “Bookselling is enjoying an amazing renaissance and our local teams of booksellers are ever more empowered to curate their own bookstores in a way that best reflects and resonates with the community they reside in. Our Paramus booksellers are eager to show just how beautiful they can make their brand-new bookstore.”
The new location will feature the bookseller’s updated and award-winning bookstore design and a new B&N Café. The bookseller announced in its letter to customers that the Paramus team is designing the layout of the new store, aiming to showcase the bookseller’s trademark selection of all the best books, toys, games, vinyl and more. The bookseller hopes also to maintain a used books section, as existed in the old store.
