Cambridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is celebrating a renovation milestone, marking the Phase 1 completion of a multimillion-dollar modernization at the 200-bed Moorestown skilled nursing facility.
Located at 255 E. Main Street, Cambridge provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.
“This center is being completely transformed into an elegant, modern environment for residents — one that accommodates progressive skilled nursing services,” Kate Bauer, regional director of market development for Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the facility, said.
The Phase 1 program introduced two new subacute wings — Laurel Creek and Strawbridge Lake — each of which has 21 private and two semi-private suites with contemporary furnishings. In addition, the wings share a welcoming lounge area and country kitchen with restaurant-style dining.
Phase 1 also centered on the addition of a 4,000-square-foot therapy gym, adjacent to Laurel Creek and Strawbridge Lake, with its incorporation of a spacious activities of daily living suite. The gym boasts state-of-the-art equipment and technology to support the delivery of progressive rehab services, while the ADL suite mimics a home environment — enabling patients the opportunity to regain skills before returning home.
Cambridge’s new design features a contemporary feel with a soothing color scheme — a crisp blend of whites and blues with light wood accents. Ample glass throughout captures abundant natural light and cleanly divides open spaces.
“The updates pair a high level of functionality with hotel-like aesthetic touches, with the goal to support the health and wellness of the entire Cambridge family,” Bauer noted.
Alongside the renovation, Cambridge has continued to enhance the facility’s specialized programming in partnership with leading regional health care providers. Offerings include pulmonary rehabilitation and cardiac care, among others.
The 14-acre Cambridge campus sits in the heart of picturesque downtown Moorestown, 12 miles east of Philadelphia. In addition to Cambridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, it houses Cambridge Enhanced Senior Living, a 63-bed assisted living offering featuring a memory care setting appropriate for individuals in the earlier stages of dementia or Alzheimer’s.
