Secaucus-based Quest Diagnostics on Monday said it completed its previously announced acquisition of select assets of Northern Light Laboratory, the outreach lab services business of Brewer, Maine-based Northern Light Health.
Quest said the move will enable physicians and patients throughout Maine to benefit from Quest’s innovative test menu, network of patient access sites, broad health plan coverage and lower out-of-pocket costs for many services.
Quest’s laboratory in Marlborough, Massachusetts, will provide the majority of advanced and routine clinical testing services for physicians and patients previously served by Northern Light Laboratory.
The company now also provides professional lab management services for nine of Northern Light Health’s hospital labs, along with its cancer center lab at Northern Light Cancer Care in Brewer, Maine.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
