The Warren County Economic Development Committee and the Warren County Board of Agriculture will cohost an informational meeting April 19 detailing how to cut energy costs for your farm or rural small business through the USDA Rural Development Rural Energy for America Program.
REAP grants and loans of up to 50% of total project costs are now available with the implementation of changes under the Inflation Reduction Act.
Maximum REAP grants increased to $500,000 for energy efficiency improvements and $1 million for renewable energy system installations. New Jersey’s Clean Energy incentives can also be combined with USDA REAP funds, further reducing out-of-pocket costs.
The program will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the Wayne Dumont Jr. Administration Building, 165 Route 519 S., Belvidere. But you can attend the meeting virtually (click here for more details).
Representatives from USDA Rural Development, NJ Clean Energy and Jersey Central Power & Light will share important information on grants, loans and incentives. Also attending are Natural Resources Conservation Service and North Jersey Resource Conservation & Development, to provide information on energy assessment services available to support grant and loan applications.
