Halpern Real Estate Ventures on Monday announced the topping out of 49 Fisk St. at six stories, bringing the new residential building on Jersey City’s revitalizing West Side neighborhood into focus.
The construction milestone for the Opportunity Zone development puts the building on track for an end-of-year leasing launch for its 337 luxury rental residences and impressive suite of amenities, according to the developer, which tapped the Corcoran Group as exclusive marketing and leasing agent.
“We’re thrilled to mark the building’s construction progress, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team who are helping to bring this exciting project to life,” Joel Halpern, president and managing director of investments for Halpern, said. “49 Fisk St. will further elevate the residential options available to existing and new residents of Jersey City’s West Side, where significant investment and municipal focus is stimulating the rise of a new destination center.”

Designed by renowned Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners, with interiors and amenities curated by the Meshberg Group, 49 Fisk St. will incorporate design elements and innovative technologies that consider both the environment and the people that live there. Sustainable features will include a waste diversion and energy recovery system, rooftop solar panels, electric vehicle chargers and rainwater collection for irrigation uses.
The ecofriendly project will be underpinned by a network of open space activated for resident use, including a 14,000-plus-square-foot landscaped courtyard with green space, an 18,000-plus-square-foot rooftop with a 360-degree view, and a community garden.
49 Fisk St. is located in close proximity to Route 440, offering residents access to the New Jersey Turnpike and Routes 1 and 9, bringing businesses and popular recreational options in northern New Jersey and the famed Jersey Shore within easy reach. Downtown Jersey City and Manhattan can be easily accessed via the Hudson Bergen Light Rail Station, less than a five-minute walk from the property.
