Elizabethtown Gas, South Jersey Gas provides $40K in grants to local youth sports

Elizabethtown Gas, a subsidiary of South Jersey Industries, and South Jersey Gas recently announced the winners of their annual Game On Grant Program. Each business awarded 20 $1,000 grants to help provide critical support to local, community-centered children’s athletic programs, leagues, clubs, associations and recreational organizations.

“At Elizabethtown Gas, we care about the communities where we live and work,” Christie McMullen, president and chief operating officer, Elizabethtown Gas, said. “We’re proud to partner with this year’s Game On Grant recipients and support them in their missions to provide safe and fun activities for kids in our region.”

Since the program’s inception in 2021, Elizabethtown Gas has contributed $53,000 and South Jersey Gas has contributed $215,000 toward community-centered children’s athletic programs.

  • Girls on the Run of Hunterdon;
  • Township of Mansfield Softball;
  • Flemington Raritan Baseball;
  • North Hunterdon Youth Baseball;
  • Hackettstown Football;
  • Scotch Plains/Fanwood Soccer;
  • Hackettstown Recreational Baseball;
  • Scotch Plains/Fanwood Baseball;
  • Delaware Valley Basketball League;
  • Lenape Valley Youth Baseball and Softball;
  • Lambertville/West Amwell Baseball;
  • Lambertville Ramblers Youth Football and Cheer;
  • Vernon Youth Football and Cheer;
  • Youth Softball of Westfield;
  • Wolfpack Hockey League Clark Township.
