Gensler adds new retail studio director in Morristown

With more than two decades of industry experience, Meena Krishnan has joined Gensler Morristown’s Lifestyle-Retail design studio, bringing a seasoned approach as co-studio director. Krishnan oversees guidelines management, prototype design and rollout and supports retail banks with their global branch strategies.

She joins her colleague, Michael Tully, in leading the Morristown office’s retail practice, which began in 1993 when Gensler opened a New Jersey presence. Today, the studio leads the firm in retail banking design. Krishnan counts among her clients several well-known retailers, including Primark, Mikimoto and five of the largest U.S. consumer banks. Some of the firm’s recent projects showcase the way retailers are finding new ways to adapt to evolving customer demands, including retail inclusive design, retail banking flagship locations and high-end banking coffee cafes.

“Our retail studio offers design expertise for large commercial retail projects with a special emphasis on retail banking for nationwide clients while also catering to the mom-and-pop retailers that anchor New Jersey’s communities,” Krishnan said.
