Newark-based Cohen Seglias is launching a Family Law Group and has brought in the highly regarded Carolyn Daly as a partner to lead the effort, the firm announced this week.
Daly will be joined by associate Sean Gaynor.
Designated as a Certified Matrimonial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court, a title held by only 2% of statewide attorneys, Daly handles matters involving divorce litigation, domestic violence, the Sexual Assault Survivor Protection Act, custody and parenting time, grandparents’ rights, emancipation, alimony, child support, college contribution, prenuptial agreements, enforcement of settlement agreements, equitable distribution and division of complex assets. She is trained in collaborative divorce, divorce mediation, parent coordination and arbitration, and is regularly appointed by family court judges as a mediator, Guardian ad Litem and parent coordinator.
Prior to joining Cohen Seglias, Daly founded Daly & Associates, which she operated for more than a decade. She said she is eager to begin the new role.

Currently, Daly serves as the president of the New Jersey chapter of the AAML. Daly earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
Gaynor devotes his practice to representing family law clients. He handles a wide variety of cases dealing with nearly every area of family law, including issues relating to custody and parenting time, alimony, child support, college contribution, removal/relocation, emancipation, life insurance and division of assets, such as real property, retirement accounts and stock accounts.
