Becker law firm opens new Mount Laurel office, grows N.J. Community Association Practice

Jonathan Katz and Loren Rosenberg Lightman join the ranks

Becker, a national multipractice commercial law firm, said Monday that Jonathan Katz and Loren Rosenberg Lightman have joined as shareholders in the firm’s New Jersey Community Association Practice. They will both be based in the firm’s new Mount Laurel office.

Katz and Lightman were most recently partners at Hill Wallack LLP in Princeton.

Katz counsels community associations and homeowners associations in New Jersey on issues involving governing documents and creating and enforcing rules and regulations; mediation and alternative dispute resolution; drafting and negotiation service contracts; fair housing compliance and municipal services agreements; and assessment collection and foreclosure. Additionally, he handles all types of litigation, including transition. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and received his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law.

Meanwhile, Lightman has over 20 years of experience representing New Jersey community associations, including document interpretation, rules and regulations and provides advice on municipal services and contract and collection matters. She is licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia and received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

David Ramsey, chair of Becker’s New Jersey Community Association Practice, said: “Jonathan and Loren’s deep knowledge of New Jersey-based community association law and litigation experience will be of great value to our community association clients and add further depth to the practice’s bench. We are excited to grow in New Jersey and open a new office in Mount Laurel to better serve our clients in Southern New Jersey and the Philadelphia area.”
