Stew Leonard’s, back in expansion mode, intends to open store in Clifton in 2024

When Stew Leonard’s opened its first New Jersey location in Paramus in 2019, its leadership said it hoped to open more stores in the state.

Then, the pandemic happened.

Last week, the Northeast chain that likes to dub itself the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores,” said it is ready to get back on track, announcing that plans to open a second location in New Jersey — in Clifton in 2024.

The new store will be at 467 Allwood Road, replacing the now-closed Seasons Kosher Market.

The company said it will incorporate the current Stew Leonard’s Wine & Spirits store (now located at the Promenade Shops on Route 3 in Clifton) into the location.

The Clifton location will be the eighth store in the chain, which is headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut.
