Garden Commercial celebrates grand opening of one of largest Starbucks in N.J. in West Windsor

A celebratory ribbon-cutting this week marked the opening of a Starbucks store at the Square at West Windsor. Located at 3516 Brunswick Pike, the 220,000-square-foot shopping center is owned by Short Hills-based Garden Commercial.

West Windsor Mayor Hemant Marathe and other local dignitaries joined representatives from Starbucks and property ownership to mark the occasion.

“Starbucks is one of today’s top global brands, and it is gratifying to commemorate this much-anticipated store’s opening at the Square at West Windsor,” Michael Gartenberg, director of Garden Commercial, said. “We are grateful to the township for working with us to make this possible.”

The 3,000-square-foot Starbucks café has a newly constructed drive-thru lane, conference room and outdoor seating patio, making this one of the largest Starbucks in all of New Jersey.

The store occupies a portion of the former Pier 1 Imports space at the Square at West Windsor. The opening comes on the heels of a 15,000-square-foot lease with the Container Store, which will open at the property in 2024.

Anchored by Lowe’s and Trader Joe’s, the Square at West Windsor also features Ethan Allen, Mattress Firm, Chipotle and Fidelity Investments, among others.

“The Square at West Windsor’s position as a ‘go-to’ retail destination that attracts best-in-class tenants is well established,” Garden Commercial’s Jonathan Frieder, managing partner, said. “This legacy continues in a significant way with Starbucks and the Container Store. These new additions are real wins for this property and area residents alike.”
