The St. Joseph’s Health Research Committee recently announced the winners of its 13th annual Research Day, an event that highlights the innovative clinical and academic research conducted within the organization.
During this year’s program, 15 finalists presented their abstracts and case reports to a panel of judges with topics that ranged from the introduction of donor breast milk in infants less than 32 weeks, evaluation of sickle cell medication management and cases of Lyme carditis mimicking a heart attack.
“Every year, the research presented at St. Joseph’s Health is even more inspiring, more cutting-edge and continually raises the bar to drive excellence and innovation,” Kevin Slavin, CEO and president, St. Joseph’s Health, said. “These widespread efforts and intellectual curiosities are what enable us to continue providing our patients with the most innovative and groundbreaking medical treatments.”
