The Secaucus-based Vitamin Shoppe announced the appointment of Lee Wright as CEO of the company, effective immediately. Wright had been interim CEO since January.
Additionally, Muriel Gonzalez, previously executive vice president, chief merchandising and marketing officer since August 2020, has been promoted to president of the company.

Wright formerly served as the chief commercial officer of Franchise Group Inc., the Vitamin Shoppe’s parent company, since January 2022. Prior to joining Franchise Group, Wright served in various executive positions at Conn’s Inc., including chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
Since joining the Vitamin Shoppe in 2020, Gonzalez has overseen all merchandising, marketing, branding, content and creative, product development and private brands initiatives.
Gonzalez previously held senior merchandising roles at Macy’s from 2006 to 2017, leaving as executive vice president, omni general merchandise manager of beauty, which included oversight of the Bluemercury specialty retail stores. Earlier in her career, Gonzalez held roles as senior vice president, marketing, at Estée Lauder North America; EVP, chief marketing officer, at Ann Taylor; SVP, GMM for non-apparel at Bergdorf Goodman; and VP, divisional merchandise manager at Saks Fifth Avenue.
