Kaplan Cos. given 12 honors for marketing at FAME Awards

Building fabulous properties certainly is a skill — and one that is routinely lauded.

Marketing those properties requires a different skillset — but one that is no less important in the success of a development and the overall real estate ecosystem.

The marketing team at Kaplan Cos., a Highland Park-based builder, recently was honored with 12 awards by the Shore Builders Association of Central New Jersey at its 20th annual FAME Awards.

Among the awards was the top honor of the night: Community of the Year, which Kaplan received for its efforts in marketing  “Camelot at Toms River,” a 128-unit luxury residential community on Kaplan Court that will mark its grand opening Tuesday.

This is Kaplan Cos.’ first large entry into Ocean County’s high-end rental market, and Camelot at Toms River is already 80% leased, since the first lease was signed in January.

Individual FAME Awards were handed to Camelot at Toms River for its logo design, brochure, signage, architecture, leasing office, interior merchandising, website and billboard design.

FAME stands for Fabulous Achievement in Marketing Excellence. And Jason Kaplan, president of Kaplan Cos., said he couldn’t think of a better way to describe the marketing team’s efforts.

Kaplan’s marketing department scored big wins for the “Best Corporate Facebook Page,” and “Best Public Relations Release” for its 70th anniversary in 2022.

Jennifer Schwefringhaus was named the “2022 Marketing Director of the Year for a Builder.”
