NJBankers announces lineup for Women in Banking Conference on June 14

Lydia Fenet, CEO of the Lydia Fenet Agency and author of “The Most Powerful Woman in the Room Is You” and “Claim Your Confidence,” will be the keynote speaker at the New Jersey Bankers Association’s 12th Annual Women in Banking Conference, to be held June 14 at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset.

Fenet’s address, which will feature lessons in negotiation, is just one of the events that day. There also will be a discussion on the science of positive, authentic female leadership from Michelle Gielan, featured professor in Oprah’s Happiness Course, bestselling author and founder of the Institute for Applied Positive Research.

Additionally, attendees will learn how to identify and build relationships with mentors and peers, gain a deeper understanding of the economic outlook and new social media strategies.

The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

NJBankers CEO Mike Affuso said the event reflects the vision and mission of the organization.

“The New Jersey banking industry is, and has been, committed to celebrating diversity,” he said. “Our Women in Banking event is just one of the many ways we work alongside our member banks to continue to promote and foster diversity at all levels of the industry.”
