Meyer celebrates grand opening of 76,500 sq. ft. assisted living community in Marlton

Meyer, an architecture and interior design firm based in Philadelphia, celebrated the grand opening of Arbor Terrace Marlton, a brand-new assisted senior living community in Evesham Township, alongside project partners Capitol Seniors Housing, the Arbor Co. and IMC Construction.

Owned and developed by Capitol Seniors Housing, the three-story, 76,500-square-foot community includes 60 assisted living apartments, 27 memory care units and 15,000 square feet of amenity space, with a focus on wellness and elegant, luxury living for seniors who desire an independent lifestyle. Residents will also enjoy a theater, bistro, salon, lounges, shared and private dining rooms, as well as an outdoor garden and terrace with views overlooking a pond.

“Arbor Terrace Marlton offers state-of-the-art services and amenities for Marlton’s senior community to feel engaged and connected,” Dan King, principal at Meyer, said. “We designed a place where seniors can thrive while also receiving the attention and care they deserve.”

Meyer provided comprehensive architecture and interior design services as well as furniture, fixture and equipment procurement for the project, which broke ground in April 2021. The community is operated by the Arbor Co., a leader in luxury senior living. IMC Construction, an independent national commercial general contractor in Philadelphia, acted as construction manager on the project.

“We worked closely with Capitol Seniors Housing, the Arbor Co. and IMC to create vibrant layouts and interior environments that reflect the level of quality programming and entertainment available to residents of Arbor Terrace Marlton,” Shannon Remaley, principal at Meyer, said.

“We are thrilled to partner with Meyer, IMC Construction and Capitol Seniors Housing in opening the doors to Arbor Terrace Marlton,” Judd Harper, president, the Arbor Co., said. “This beautiful new community will help meet the needs of the state’s growing senior population and provide them with best-in-class living and care options.”

The Meyer team also included Principal Shannon Remaley, Project Manager Paul Butala, Project Manager Min Yi Park, FF+E Manager Michele Segre and Senior Architect Wayne Egolf. Other project team members included MEP engineer Concord Engineering, structural engineer Bala Consulting Engineers and landscape architect Longstone Gardens.

“We are excited to provide seniors in New Jersey with a state-of-the-art assisted living community where the residents and their family members can feel comfortable and connected,” Joseph McElwee, principal – development at Capitol Seniors Housing, said. “Each of our partners, including Meyer, the Arbor Co. and IMC Construction, helped us to bring this incredible community to life.”

A nationally recognized leader in senior living projects, Meyer has provided architecture and design services for additional Arbor Co. complexes in Mount Laurel, Morris Plains and Mountainside, as well as Exton, Pennsylvania. Meyer’s senior living portfolio also includes senior living communities in Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
