Lambertville will see its first legal adult-use cannabis sales.
Union Chill Cannabis Co. LLC, located at 204 N. Union St., will officially begin serving adults 21 and older on Wednesday through online preorders, which is coupled with express in-store pick-up, as well as in-store orders.
The majority women-owned and socially responsible firm is self-described as a haven for artists and craftsmen and just minutes from a host of antique shops, eclectic galleries and comfortable coffee shops clustered on the banks of the scenic Delaware River. The walkable town center features treasures everywhere, in what is known as the “Antiques Capital of New Jersey.”
The store will carry high-quality, curated products including a variety from across New Jersey, and feature artisan products from local businesses, organizations and nonprofits in the Greater Lambertville Region.
Union Chill co-founder Laurie McHugh said: “This has been an incredible journey, and I couldn’t be prouder to open our doors and begin serving our community, family and friends. At Union Chill, we believe in the power of the plant to change peoples’ lives and are passionate about the work we do and the role we play in our community. By combining integrity, social good and economic success to uplift and inform the decisions we make, we look forward to rising to the challenge of creating a more sustainable, vibrant cannabis environment for all.”
Union Chill Chief Visionary Officer Alexis Berends said: “As someone whose family has lived in Lambertville for — at best count, seven generations — I am thrilled to open our dispensary doors in the Spokeworks Building on the same block my family has lived on for all those generations. Our growing team, who have joined us from our own backyard, are honored to bring one of the best selections of products and unique finds from local artists and artisans that represent all that we and Lambertville stand for: diversity, inclusion and love of community. As we continue this journey to serve the place we not only work in, but live in, we look forward to being a trusted community resource and a beacon for what is right and just as we continue to combat the outdated stigmas and effects of cannabis prohibition.”
Union Chill Cannabis is striving to provide a trustworthy yet comfortable retail experience for adults interested in buying cannabis products for recreational use. With a team background ranging from the legacy market, medical cannabis industry and longtime cannabis professionals, Union Chill’s goal is to be a cannabis retailer that has something for everyone.
McHugh added, “No matter where you are coming from, we’ll lean on our local roots and varied experiences with cannabis to meet you exactly where you are.”
Union Chill will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
Spotlighting Union Chill’s love for the local community, the ADA-accessible dispensary features free on-site, accessible parking that can be accessed from Union Street.
