N.J. Society of CPAs accepting nominations for 2023 Ovation Awards

The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants is accepting nominations for its 2023 Ovation Awards — honors intended to celebrate individuals who demonstrate exceptional work in or support of New Jersey’s accounting profession in seven categories: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Impact; Innovation; Emerging Leaders; Exceptional Educators; Lifetime Leader; and Women to Watch.

The Ovation Awards were created to recognize outstanding accomplishments, selfless volunteerism, impactful commitment and a lifetime of dedication to the accounting profession. Those selected have introduced notable ways to move the profession forward, mentored other professionals, encouraged and maintained diverse and equitable workplaces and contributed to the growth of the profession.

Nominees can be self-nominated or nominated by a colleague.

Only NJCPA members are eligible for the Emerging Leader, Women to Watch and Lifetime Leader categories, but nonmembers are eligible for the other awards.

NJCPA CEO A.J. Johnson said the awards are a way to honor those who serve others.

“CPAs by nature serve their clients and communities in such rewarding ways,” she said. “These awards are our way of recognizing those great accomplishments and acknowledging excellence.”
