Larken Associates helps relocate yoga and training facility to Hillsborough mixed-use community

Larken Associates on Tuesday said it negotiated a new lease for 1,741 square feet of retail space with Yoga M.A.T.T. at Hillsborough Village Center, located at 1 Housel Circle in Hillsborough.

Rob Marek, executive vice president of Raider Realty, the in-house brokerage division of Larken Associates, represented Larken in the transaction.

Located along Hillsborough’s vibrant Route 206 retail corridor, Hillsborough Village Center is a new mixed-use community featuring 191 luxury multifamily units as well as 28,000 square feet of on-site, ground-level office, medical and retail space. Designed around a resort-style amenity package, the property also provides access to a wide array of dining, retail and tourism options found throughout Somerset County.

Yoga M.A.T.T. is a small-group functional training facility integrating yoga, TRX, Kettlebell and conditioning classes. The business concept is to create a personalized atmosphere for all of its clients so that customers’ needs are recognized, and personal goals achieved.

The new lease at Hillsborough Village Center will enable Yoga M.A.T.T. to join Hillsborough Village Center’s growing list of retail businesses, which already include the soon-to-be-open Tropical Smoothie Cafe and JC Nail Spa.

“For the last 12 years, our passion for fitness and health has helped us build deep relationships with our clients across Somerset County,” Christine Beckelman, founder and co-owner of Yoga M.A.T.T., said. “We are excited to relocate to this beautiful, new community and create a state-of-the-art facility offering fitness classes, yoga, personal training and massage services to continue to help people achieve their fitness goals.”
