John Glass has been promoted to the position of director in the Real Property Group at Gibbons P.C., the firm recently announced.
Glass, who joined Gibbons as an associate in 2019, practicing in the area of commercial real estate law, with a concentration on transactional matters, represents a broad range of clients, including closely held real estate development companies, early- to late-stage startups, state agencies and major corporations.
Glass’ practice focuses on complex real estate transactions involving commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, and multitiered loan financings across a variety of asset classes, including commercial office, health care, retail, mixed-use and industrial properties.
Glass recently represented some of New Jersey’s leading real estate developers in securing more than $500 million in construction financing in connection with high-end residential, commercial and mixed-use projects in Newark, Parsippany, Jersey City and Philadelphia. Glass also recently represented a major health care startup in negotiating its headquarters lease in Brooklyn.
Douglas Janacek, co-chair of the Gibbons Real Property Group, said the promotion is in order.
“John is a great asset to our firm and our clients, and we’re thrilled to be able to recognize his achievements,” he said.
Glass graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he served as associate editor of the Journal of Health Care and Policy Law and earned his B.A. cum laude from Boston College. He is admitted to practice in the states of New Jersey and New York.
