Ever wanted to take a tour of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst — see the different parts of the base, which is the largest employer in the state?
On July 21, you could get that chance.
ROI-NJ, in conjunction with officials from the base, is organizing a 40-person tour that will last from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (and includes lunch).
The specifics of the tour will be confirmed as we get closer to the tour date, but you can expect to tour one or more jet aircraft and meet their flight and/or maintenance crews. Other stops on the tour may include demonstrations of:
- Canine training by security forces;
- Survival training in the most challenging environments;
- How engineers remove and dispose of unexploded bombs.
Please note that all tour participants must be cleared in advance by Joint Base security. No unregistered guests or walk-ons will be allowed on the day of the tour.
