TD Bank names Tara John head of human resources

TD Bank has named Tara John as head of human resources.

Under John’s leadership, TD’s HR team will further enhance employee engagement and foster talent development programs to unlock the full potential of colleagues. In her new role, John will be responsible for building organizational capability and driving the talent strategy to deliver against business priorities with teams across the U.S.

John has spent over 20 years in the financial services industry and has experience in both front-line sales and human resources. She has worked in both Canada and the U.S. and, during her tenure in human resources, she has been involved in mergers & acquisitions, risk and regulatory, human resources strategy, organizational design, talent management and learning and development.

Prior to this role, John was head of human resources for U.S. Commercial Banking, accountable for leading the development and implementation of the Commercial Banking people strategy.
