Essential Properties Realty Trust on Monday announced the recent appointments of Kristin Walker as senior vice president – real estate counsel and Robert Salisbury as senior vice president – capital markets.

Prior to joining the Princeton-based real estate investment trust, Walker most recently practiced as a shareholder with Polsinelli P.C., based in its Denver office. Walker has over 17 years of legal experience specializing in commercial real estate transactions, including as lead counsel to national REIT clients in the industrial and retail/net lease markets.

Salisbury has more than 18 years of experience in the real estate industry, beginning with nearly five years in real estate equity research at Citigroup, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and UBS Investment Bank, and thereafter in various securities and private equity platforms focused on global real estate investing. Most recently, Salisbury was with Almanac Realty Investors, which was acquired by Neuberger Berman, and, prior to that, he was with Citadel Investment Group and V3 Capital Management.

Pete Mavoides, the company’s CEO and president, said, “For more than six years, Kristin has provided EPRT with excellent representation in our investment transactions, so we’re thrilled to have her join our team and bring her extensive experience in-house to lead our closing efforts and handle our other legal real estate matters.”

Mark Patten, the company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, said, “Rob’s significant real estate experience, both equity research analysis and investing in real estate as a part of various investment platforms, will be a welcome addition to our capital markets capabilities.”
