Connell Foley’s Webster, 4 others elected to Saint Peter’s University board

Connell Foley Partner Elnardo Webster II was one of five people elected to the Saint Peter’s University board of trustees for an initial three-year term, effective July 1.

Webster’s father, the late Elnardo J. Webster, was an alumnus of Saint Peter’s, earning his B.S. and M.A. from the school.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and drive the mission of Saint Peter’s University,” he said. “It’s an honor to serve in this capacity and continue to impact the academic community, and this esteemed institution my father was so committed to.”

The four other new members:

  • Marilda Gándara, Class of 1972, former president of the Aetna Foundation Inc.;
  • Thomas Luddy, Class of 1974, former chief information officer of J.P. Morgan Asset Management;
  • James Miracky, former provincial assistant for higher education for the U.S.A. East Province of the Jesuits;
  • La Toro Yates, Classes of 1994 and ’98, vice president of student development and enrollment management at Eugenio María de Hostos Community College.

Webster focuses his practice in the areas of real estate, regulatory matters and government affairs. Past clients include the Department of Health, the Casino Control Commission and the Army Corps of Engineers.

Jesuit-educated at Saint Peter’s Prep, Webster earned his B.A., MBA, and J.D. from Rutgers University and has served on numerous boards, including the Rutgers board of overseers, Independent College Fund of New Jersey, Team Walker, Saint Peter’s Prep, Crossroads Theater and Cathedral Healthcare System. He is also the co-founder of Sports Futures, a nonprofit organization benefiting inner-city youth.
