Cambridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Moorestown recently welcomed pulmonologist Dr. John Bermingham, with Pulmonary and Sleep Associates of New Jersey, as the director of its new pulmonary rehabilitation program.
Located at 255 E. Main St., the 170-bed skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.
Cambridge’s recently introduced pulmonary rehabilitation services aim to reduce pulmonary symptoms, decrease disability, increase participation in physical and social activities and promote independence and quality of life. The initiative caters to individuals with a range of diagnoses and conditions.
Board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine, Bermingham has practiced for more than 20 years and is frequently named among South Jersey’s “Top Doctors.” He is affiliated with multiple area hospitals.
“Cambridge is thrilled to welcome Dr. Bermingham, who is highly respected throughout the region, to its medical team,” Kate Bauer, regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the facility said.
In addition to consults with Bermingham, Cambridge pulmonary patients benefit from the support of respiratory therapist Lisa Soto. The facility also offers non-invasive ventilation support and 24/7 access to lab and radiology services, with an extensive range of therapy services available seven days per week.
Cambridge recently celebrated the completion of Phase 1 of a multimillion-dollar renovation and modernization. The updates centered on the introduction of two new subacute wings and the addition of a 4,000-square-foot therapy gym, with its incorporation of a spacious activities of daily living suite. Plans for Phase 2, which includes a new welcome center and reception area, are well underway.
